Trees

The trees listed are not all native to the area but can grow in the Saltese area. I have been able to grow all these varieties of trees without additional water given I plant them in the right locations and under the right conditions.

  • Douglas Fir
  • Ponderosa Pine
  • White Fir (Concolor Fir)
  • White Pine

The foreground trees were planted from one year old seedlings in 2005 in the Saltese area. The trees are located in a lower area that has good moisture in the spring from snow melt. No additional water is provided to the trees. This picture was taken in 2022. The tallest trees are 30 feet high.
